Reform California has announced that the California Voter ID Initiative has now surpassed 600,000 signatures, marking another major milestone as the campaign enters its final signature turn-in phase this December.
With the deadline approaching, Reform California has scheduled a number of “Final Signature Turn In” Events statewide where volunteers can drop off their petitions filled with signatures (and get more petitions for the final few days of collecting.)
A full list of events are at www.VoterIDEvents.org
“This is the final stretch,” said Carl DeMaio. “If you have signatures, get them in now. If you haven’t signed yet, come to a turn-in event— and bring five friends. We need every Californian who cares about election integrity to step up in these last days.”
Backers say they need to get to 1 million signatures total to account for invalid signatures.
Massive Grassroots Army Formed for CA Voter ID
DeMaio says the rapid acceleration toward 600,000+ signatures proves the campaign’s momentum is only increasing as word spreads.
“Californians are speaking loud and clear: they want election integrity — and they’re ready to make history to get it,” DeMaio said.
Reform California reports that more than 17,000 volunteers have now been trained and deployed across the state. Volunteers have been collecting signatures at community tables, neighborhood events, churches, shopping centers, and through the statewide bus tour.
DeMaio will Unveil the “26 for 2026” Reform California Campaign Plan at Events
In addition to using the Final Signature Turn In events to wrap up the CA Voter ID Initiative signature drive, DeMaio will use these events to brief supporters on Reform California’s strategy to win in 2026! It is ambitious and involves targeting 26 winnable seats to end the Democrats’ Super-Majority, enacting CA Voter ID, saving Prop 13, etc.
“But to make this plan work, we need more activists to join the fight – so I’m asking every one of our supporters to not only attend the event in their area themselves, but to recruit and bring 5 friends along with them,” DeMaio concluded.
