CA State Assemblyman Carl DeMaio announced today that his political arm Reform California will be waging a campaign to defeat Measure A - a dishonest measure that attempts to trick voters into extending term limits on county politicians.
In recent election cycles, Reform California has emerged as a powerful force in San Diego county campaigns with thousands of grassroots volunteers, a highly-popular voter guide, and millions in campaign funds to expend.
“68% of San Diego voters already decided that two terms as supervisor is more than enough - but the politicians don't want to accept that wise decision,” notes DeMaio.
“Eight years - or two terms - on the county board of Supervisors is sufficient and we should want turnover and fresh faces at least every eight years," DeMaio adds.
County Supervisor Lawson-Remer proposed Measure A as she faces her final term as county supervisor.
"Apparently Supervisor Terra Lawson Remer thinks she needs more time in political office to raise your taxes and waste your money - no thanks, hard pass!" DeMaio quipped.
DeMaio urges San Diego voters to vote NO on Measure A if they want to hold politicians accountable through common-sense term limits.
