The California Voter ID Initiative qualified for the ballot with over 1.36 million signatures submitted across all 58 counties, demonstrating broad grassroots support throughout the state. Volunteers and supporters gathered signatures in communities large and small — from major population centers like Los Angeles and Orange County to rural counties in Northern California — showing the statewide demand for stronger election integrity protections. Below is the official county-by-county breakdown of signatures submitted as part of the campaign’s historic grassroots effort.
“More than 1.3 million signatures submitted across every corner of California sends a clear message: voters want commonsense election integrity reforms like voter ID. This wasn’t the work of politicians — it was the work of thousands of citizen volunteers who stepped up to do the job Sacramento politicians refused to do. Now the voters themselves will have the chance to decide in November 2026.” -Reform California Chairman and State Assemblymember Carl DeMaio.
